Circus Space is a school that was established in East London more than 120 years ago and is currently based in a former power plant. This school is the only institution in England to provide a university degree in circus art. Far from the flamboyant costumes and props that are usually associated with the circus, what really fascinated me when I visited this space is the strict discipline that drives their art. I took these portraits of the performers immediately after their training.
